Kulak Returns To Vancouver

Due to a shortage of healthy blueliners, the Vancouver Giants have called up defenceman Brett Kulak. The Stony Plain, Alberta native was the Giants 9th round pick in the 2009 WHL bantam draft and currently plays for the St. Albert Raiders of the AMHL. Last season he was the named the top defenceman in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League as a member of the Parkland Athletic Club Saints. The 16 year old spent the entire training game with the Giants, playing two games during the exhibition schedule. He will dress tonight versus Portland.
The club also announced that forward R.J. Reed has been re-assigned to the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL. He played 1 game this season for Vancouver.
