Giants Come Up Short Against Swift Current
The Swift Current Broncos beat the Vancouver Giants 3-1 at the Pacific Coliseum Friday Night, despite outshooting the Broncos 29-25.
The Broncos were up 2-0 after the first period with goals from Ryon Moser and ex-Giant, Levi Bews.
Vancouver’s Riley Kieser scored about halfway into the second period to cut the lead to 1, but the Broncos were awarded a penalty shot just over three minutes after the goal. Adam Lowry scored on the penalty shot to restore Swift Current’s two-goal lead.
Goalie Payton Lee stopped 22 of the shots he faced and the Giants went 0-for-3 on the powerplay.
