Benson Sent Back

The Vancouver Giants announced on Monday that Captain Tyler Benson has been returned to the hockey club by the Edmonton Oilers.

Benson, who hails from Edmonton, was drafted by the Oilers in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft at 32nd overall. The 18-year-old scored 28 points in 30 games during an injury shortened 2015/16 WHL season. The Giants selected the 6’0”, 190 lb winger at first overall in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
