Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (9-13-2-0) welcome the Tri-City Americans (12-8-1-1) to the Langley Events Centre this evening for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
The Giants faced off with the Americans on the road once earlier this year, falling 4-1 on Nov. 1, but they outshot Tri-City in that contest 37-24.
Vancouver is coming off a 6-3 defeat on Friday night in Kamloops to the Blazers, while the Americans lost 5-1 on home ice on Friday to the Victoria Royals.

LAST TIME OUT
The Vancouver Giants were doubled up by the Kamloops Blazers 6-3 on Friday night at the Sandman Centre.
Vancouver got out to a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes, but Kamloops stormed back with three of their own in the second period, before adding one early in the third and one into the empty net to make it 6-3.
Two of the Blazers’ goals came on the power play.Scoring for the Giants was Cameron Schmidt, Kyren Gronick and Tyler Thorpe.
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
Tri-City is only 2-5-1 on the road this season, with 17 goals for and 40 goals against in those eight away games. They haven’t won a road game since Sept. 30 in Spokane (0-4-1 on the road since then).
The Giants are 6-4-2 on home ice, but 2-2-1 on home ice so far this month. This will be the 13th game of the month already for Vancouver, while it will be the 10th for the Ams.
These teams rank similar in terms of overall goals for and against, as well as special teams. Both are near the bottom in goals for and power play percentage, and are in the middle of the pack in goals against.
Tonight is the second of four head-to-head meetings this season. They will also meet next Saturday in Kennewick.
