Giants and Silvertips First Round Playoff Schedule
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants will take on the Everett Silvertips in round one of the 2024 Western Hockey League Playoffs, presented by Nutrien.
The Giants’ 5-2 loss to the Rockets on Saturday night solidified the opening round series, with Vancouver (32-32-4-0) finishing in sixth place in the Western Conference and Everett (44-18-2-3) having already locked down the third seed, still with one game remaining.
This will be the fourth time the Giants and Silvertips have met in the playoffs and second time in three years. Vancouver has won two of the three series so far.
In 2006, the Giants swept Everett in the third round, before sweeping Moose Jaw in the league final to win the WHL Championship. In 2022, Vancouver became the first eighth seed in WHL history to knock off a first seed, when the Giants took down the Silvertips in six games.
In 2004, the Silvertips defeated the Giants in six games in the second round.
