Giants Hire Kayden Jarvis as Video and Skill Development Coach
Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants announced today the hiring of Kayden Jarvis (Winnipeg, MB) as the team’s Video and Skill Development Coach.
Jarvis, 27, joins the Giants after working at RINK Hockey Academy in Winnipeg in various roles for the last seven years (2016-23). During his time at RHA, he was a Skills Coach (2016-23), Program Coordinator (2016-20) and Retention and Recruitment Lead (2020-23), working with a variety of teams and ages.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to work in the Giants organization,” Jarvis said. “Getting to learn and work with the great players and staff they have in Vancouver is an exciting opportunity for me to grow as a coach in one of the top leagues in North America. I’d like to thank Barcley Parneta and the ownership group for bringing me on.”
Prior to joining the staff at RINK, Jarvis played for the Winkler Flyers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for two seasons, registering 59 points in 95 games. He was also a Skills Coach for the MJHL’s Niverville Nighthawks during the 2022-23 season.
“With this role, it was important for us to find someone who could do both on-ice skills work and video work, and Kayden checked both of those boxes,” Giants GM Barclay Parneta said. “Beyond that, he has a sharp mind for the game, which impressed us during the interview process. Kayden will be a great addition to our staff.”
The entire Vancouver Giants organization would like to welcome Kayden to the lower mainland.
With the hiring of Jarvis, the Giants coaching staff is now complete. Manny Viveiros will serve as the new Head Coach, with Adam Maglio returning for his second season as an Associate Coach.
