GAME 5 RECAP: Giants Knocked Out of Playoffs Following Loss to Silvertips

Everett, WA – The Everett Silvertips shut out the Vancouver Giants 5-0 in Game 5 of the opening round series on Sunday at Angel of the Winds Arena, eliminating them from playoff contention thanks to a 4-1 series win.
The Silvertips power play went 2-for-4 in Game 5 in a contest where they out-shot Vancouver 49-25.
Giants netminder Brett Mirwald finished the five-game series with 220 saves on 238 shots, for a .924 save percentage, and an average of 44 saves per game.
Everett got goals from Parker Berge, Ben Hemmerling, Cade Zaplitny, Dominik Rymon and Julius Miettinen.
