18-year-old defenceman Dylan Plouffe has had an interesting couple of weeks. The Sherwood Park, AB native was all set to head to Florida to join the Panthers for Training Camp. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Irma, those planned got changed. Fortunately though for Plouffe the Vancouver Canucks were more than happy to have Plouffe attend their Camp instead, and as you could imagine the experience was unforgettable for the 18-year-old who’s looking to make a major impact with the Giants this season.

“To have the chance to skate on the ice with those guys was surreal. Coach Dean (Chynoweth) told me to go in there and be a sponge, and I just tried to embrace my situation. I learned so much being there for six days and I appreciate the Canucks organization for having me out.” – Dylan Plouffe after returning to the Giants.
