G-MEN COME UP BIG VS PORTLAND

Langley, BC – The Giants bounced back in a big way Sunday afternoon, taking down the first-place Portland Winterhawks 3-1 at home.

1st Period:

POR: Ryan McCleary opened the scoring with a screened point shot on the power play 5:19 into the game.

2nd Period:

VAN: Ty Thorpe wrapped around his first of the night on a shorthanded forecheck with 15:00 to go in the second.

3rd Period:

VAN: Opening the third period on the penalty kill, Samuel Honzek netted the Giants second shorthanded goal of the game 0:37 into the third.

VAN: Ty Thorpe buried his second wraparound of the night for his second goal of the night and his 100th career point just over four minutes later.
