Cougars Announce Overage Roster Update
PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars have announced that goaltender Alexander Levshyn has cleared WHL overage waivers as the club moves to the league maximum of three 20-year-old players.
“Alex was taking 2 spots and we thought we could add 1-2 players if we traded or waived him would make us better,” said GM & Head Coach Mark Lamb. “Levy brought lots of energy to our team and he’s a good goalie. If he wasn’t a 20 year old he would still be with us.”
Levshyn was a fan favourite during his time in Prince George, known for his entertaining personality, energy, and enthusiasm both on and off the ice. The goaltender brought plenty of excitement to the CN Centre and was a popular teammate in the Cougars’ dressing room.
The Cougars thank Levshyn for his time with the organization and wish him continued success as he takes the next step in his hockey career.
