FRED MEYER CALENDAR GIVEAWAY AS CHIEFS FACE BRANDON

Spokane hosts Eastern Conference opponent Brandon tonight on Fred Meyer Calendar Giveaway Night. The first 3,000 fans through the gate at Spokane Arena will receive a Chiefs wall calendar.

Spokane Chiefs (10-3-0-0) vs Brandon Wheat Kings (7-5-0-0)

The Chiefs have a WHL-best 20 points with a 10-3-0-0 record through 13 games despite losing their last game, 4-1 vs. Victoria on Saturday, October 19. The Chiefs are one of six WHL teams remaining without an overtime or shootout loss.

The Chiefs welcome Brandon to Spokane Arena for Spokane’s fourth of five straight home games and only matchup versus the Wheat Kings this season. Brandon is 7-5-0-0 with an even goal differential (43-43). The Wheat Kings are 5-5-0-0 in their last 10 games. Their game in Spokane is the first of six straight on the road and five straight versus U.S. Division teams.

Brandon is the 2nd-least penalized team in the WHL, averaging just 12.2 PIM per game. Spokane averages 16.8.
The Chiefs played Brandon once last season, in Brandon, winning 5-2 on December 7. Mitch Holmberg scored twice and Mike Aviani added one to lead the Chiefs.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on Classic Country 790 The Eagle. Tomorrow’s game will return to 1510 KGA Everything Sports.
