CHIEFS TO HONOR FIREFIGHTERS AT OPENING NIGHT
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs announced today that they will honor local and regional firefighters as a part of their opening ceremonies during Bud Light Opening Night on Saturday as they host the Tri-City Americans at Spokane Arena. Twenty-five firefighters who bravely fought against wildfires across the northwest this summer will be recognized at center ice as part of the Chiefs’ opening ceremony.
As an extension of the recognition, the Chiefs are offering any local or regional firefighters the group rate on all tickets for Saturday’s game; up to 36% off individual tickets. Any firefighters interested in the offer are encouraged to call the Chiefs’ Ticket Office at (509) 535-PUCK and mention the offer.
“As members of the community, we recognize how devastating this summer was to so many across the region and this is a great opportunity to recognize just a few of the firefighters that battled those blazes,” Chiefs Vice President Jay Stewart said.
As each player is introduced, the Chiefs will recognize a local firefighter as a small gesture of thanks for their work.
Opening ceremonies on Bud Light Opening Night will begin around 6:50 p.m., with the puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available in-person at the Chiefs’ Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK, via TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT or online at www.ticketswest.com.
