CHIEFS LOOK FOR REVENGE WITH T-BIRDS BACK IN TOWN
The Chiefs will be looking for revenge after December 1st’s 5-1 loss to Seattle. It will be UnitedHealthcare Awareness Night at Spokane Arena as these two division rivals battle it out.
The Chiefs are 18-10-0-2 after Wednesday’s narrow 2-1 win over Saskatoon. Spokane’s 38 points put them in 5th Place in the Western Conference and 3rd Place in the U.S. Division. They are 4-4-0-2 in their last 10 games.
Spokane and Seattle are near each other in the standings but on different paths as of late. The Thunderbirds are amidst a 4-game winnings streak and have won 7 of their last 10, while the Chiefs just recovered from a 3-game losing streak and have won just 4 of their last 10 (with 2 shootout losses in that span). The T-Birds are 6th in the Western Conference and 4th in the U.S. Division, just 2 points behind the Chiefs.
Spokane will have the opportunity to even the season series as the game will be the 2nd of 3 games in 7 days between the two clubs and 2nd of 8 matchups overall this season.
Tickets for Friday’s game and all Chiefs home games are available in-person at the Chiefs’ Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK, via TicketsWest outlets and online at www.ticketswest.com.
