2015-16 BUD LIGHT OPENING NIGHT ANNOUNCED
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs announced today that they will begin the 2015-2016 regular season at home against the Tri-City Americans on Bud Light Opening Night, Saturday, September 26 at Spokane Arena. It will mark the 11th consecutive season the Chiefs have opened their home schedule against the rival Americans, with the Chiefs winning the past seven. The Chiefs are 8-1-0-1 in their last ten home openers and 20-9-0-1 in franchise history.
The Chiefs and Americans played each other 12 times during the 2014-15 regular season, winning eight including a 3-2 win on Bud Light Opening Night in Spokane. Dominic Zwerger’s third period power play goal proved to be the game-winner. The Chiefs are 34-23-2-1 in the past five seasons against Tri-City including a 20-9-1-0 record at Spokane Arena during that span.
The full 2015-16 regular season schedule is tentatively scheduled for release later this month.
