VS CENTRAL DIVISION: The Broncos currently hold a 3-8-0-0 record against Central Division opponents this season.
ROSTER: The Broncos roster currently consists of 26 players. The team has 3 – 20 year old players, 8 – 19 year old players, 5 – 18 year old players, 8 – 17 year old players and 2- 16 year old players. Geographically, 13 Broncos are from Alberta, 8 are from Saskatchewan, 2 are from Manitoba, 1 is from British Columbia, 1 is from the Czech Republic and 1 is from Finland. There are 11 rookies and 15 veterans on the roster.
WORLD JUNIORS: Finnish netminder, Eetu Laurikainen, has been selected to represent Finland at the World Juniors. Finland currently holds a 2-2-0-0 record most recently falling 7-4 to Sweden. In 32 games played with the Broncos this season he has posted a .916 save percentage, 2.55GAA and 13-15-2-2 record.
WORLD U-17 CHALLENGE: Rookie defenceman Brycen Martin has taken off to Quebec as he represents Team Pacific at the 2013 World Junior Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Martin and Team Pacific fell 6-2 to Team USA in exhibition action Friday night. Hewas selected in the 1st round, 2nd overall, by the Broncos in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
TRADES: The Broncos acquired 16-year-old Swift Current,SK defenceman Reid Fritzke from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a conditional 5th round WHL Bantam Draft pick.
The Broncos acquired 17-year-old defenceman Brett Lernout from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
PRELIMINARY RANKINGS: Dillon Heatherington and Colby Cave cracked NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Rankings. Heatherington is currently ranked 12th amongst WHL skaters, while Cave is listed at 20th.
CALL UP: The Broncos called up 16-year-old forward, Jordan Wittman, from the Swift Current Legionnaires of the SMAAAHL. Wittman has recorded 28 points (10G,18A) in 26 games played with the Legionnaires so far this season. He was selected by the Broncos in the 3rd round, 46th overall, in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Broncos called up netminder Steven Myland from the PIJHL. Myland has recorded a 2.44 GAA and .923 save percentage in 13 games played with the North Delta Devils (PIJHL) this season.
DRAFTED BRONCOS: The Broncos currently have five drafted players on the roster:
