REGULAR SEASON VS PRINCE ALBERT:  This will be the second of four meetings between the Broncos (20-20-3-2) and Calgary Hitmen (30-10-1-3) this season.  The Broncos currently hold a 0-1-0-0 record against the Hitmen this season.

VS CENTRAL DIVISION:  The Broncos currently hold a 5-10-0-0 record against Central Division opponents this season.

ROSTER: The Broncos roster currently consists of 24 players. The team has 3 – 20 year old players, 7 – 19 year old players, 4 – 18 year old players, 9 – 17 year old players and 1- 16 year old player.  Geographically, 13 Broncos are from Alberta, 7 are from Saskatchewan, 2 are from Manitoba, 1 is from the Czech Republic and 1 is from Finland. There are 9 rookies and 15 veterans on the roster.

HUSKY WHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH:  Bronco captain Adam Lowry was named Husky WHL Player of the Month for December.  He collected 21 points (13G,8A) in 11 games played, and also currently holds the longest goal scoring streak in the WHL at eight games (13G) and point streak at 16 games (15G,13A).

WORLD JUNIORS:  Finnish netminder, Eetu Laurikainen, represented Finland at the World Juniors, where they finished the highly-touted international tournament in 7^th place.  In 32 games played with the Broncos this season he has posted a .916 save percentage, 2.55GAA and 13-15-2-2 record.

WORLD U-17 CHALLENGE:  Rookie defenceman Brycen Martin posted nine points (2G,7A) in five games played with Team Pacific.  Team Pacific wrapped up the tournament defeating Ontario 7-6 to place fifth in the standings.

TRADES:  The Broncos acquired 17-year-old forward Jay Merkley from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 19-year-old forward Josh Derko and a 3^rd round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

PRELIMINARY RANKINGS:  Dillon Heatherington and Colby Cave cracked NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Rankings.  Heatherington is currently ranked 12^th amongst WHL skaters, while Cave is listed at 20^th.

DRAFTED BRONCOS:  The Broncos currently have five drafted players on the roster:

Graham Black – 5^th round (135^th overall) – New Jersey Devils – 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Coda Gordon – 6^th round (165^th overall) – Calgary Flames – 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Adam Lowry – 3^rd round (67^th overall) – Winnipeg Jets – 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Reece Scarlett – 6^th round (159^th overall) – New Jersey Devils – 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Richard Nedomlel – 6^th round (175^th overall) – Detroit Red Wings – 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
