The Broncos opened the scoring as Geordie Wudrick scored but Kootenay came back with two goals as Brayden McNabb and Andrew Bailey tallied goals. The Broncos responded with goals by Matt Tassone  and Geordie Wudrick, notching his second of the game, to make it 3-2 Broncos after 1 period. 

In the second period, the Broncos came out with great jump and scored three straight goals as Eric Doyle got his 9th of the season on the power-play, Jordan Peddle scored his 8th of the season and Keegan Dansereau tallied his 26th of the year, also on the man advantage. Kootenay got one goal back late in the 2nd as Tylan Stephens scored to cut the Bronco lead to 6-3 after 2 periods

The Ice showed great jump in the third as they got two quick goals by Matt Fraser and Jesse Ismond to cut the lead to 6-5 for Swift Current. Matt Tassone then took over with two goals, one into an empty net, to complete the hat-trick, scoring his 26th and 27th of the year. The Broncos picked up their 26th win of the season snapping a 3 game skid. Swift Current is now 3-0 over Kootenay this season. John Negrin and Michael Stickland both picked up assists in their return to Kootenay against their former team-mates as did Christian Magnus for the Ice. Spencer McAvoy had 3 assists for the Broncos and Travis Yonkman earned his 14th victory of the season in net. The Broncos went 2 for 4 on the power-play while the Ice went 2 for 6. The Broncos outshot the Ice 35-32.

The game completed 5 straight games on the road for the Broncos, they now return home for a game against the Brandon Wheat Kings Tuesday night at the Credit Union i-plex.
