Blanke Commits to University of Saskatchewan
Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, announced that Bronco forward, Andy Blanke, has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s hockey team for the upcoming 2012-13 season.
Blanke leaves the Broncos with one year left of his Western Hockey League eligibility remaining.
In 71 games played last season the Swift Current, SK native produced 11 points (3-8-11) and led the team in PIM with 168 penalty minutes. After three complete seasons with the Broncos, The 6’2”, 197-pound forward recorded nine goals, 19 assists and 312 PIM. He was listed by the Broncos in 2008.

Blanke, 20, will join the Unversity of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s hockey team alongside former Broncos Kyle Bortis and Travis Brisebois. He will continue his studies in Engineering.
