A billet family provides more than just a roof over a player’s head — they offer a sense of home, helping players adjust to a new city and thrive while being away from family and friends.
Why Billet?
Becoming a billet is an incredibly rewarding experience. You become a second family to a young athlete and watch them grow both on and off the ice. These relationships often extend well beyond a player’s WHL career, with many billet families staying connected as players move on to college, amateur, or professional hockey.

We’re looking for families of any kind who are willing to open their doors and welcome these boys into their home. You don’t even need to understand hockey — the players can teach you along the way! What matters is that you can offer a bedroom, access to a bathroom, home-cooked meals, and a comfortable space to unwind after a long day of training, school, or games. This season, we’re especially in need of temporary beds to help support players during camp and early-season transitions.
