SUBWAY SUPER SERIES: Adam Lowry and Graham Black were two of 29 players selected to represent Team WHL at the 2012 SUBWAY Super Series. Lowry will play with Team WHL on November 14th in Vancouver, BC and November 15th in Victoria, BC, while Black will join the team in Victoria, BC on November 15th.
FOR THE “W”: General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb is four wins away from the 100 mark of his WHL coaching career. He took over the role of General Manager and Head Coach of the Broncos in July of 2009.
TRADES: The Broncos traded 19-year-old defenceman Graeme Craig to the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for 19-year-old forward Brent Benson.
CHL GOALIE OF THE WEEK: Netminder Eetu Laurikainen was named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 7th after recording a 2-0-0-0 record and posting a 1.00 GAA and 0.973 save percentage. The 19-year-old Laurikainen was selected 20th overall by the Broncos in the 2012 CHL Import Draft.
CAPTAINCY: The Broncos named Adam Lowry the 26th captain in franchise history based on a team vote. Richard Nedomlel, Reece Scarlett and Josh Derko were named alternates.
ONE STEP CLOSER: Defenceman Reece Scarlett recently signed an entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils earlier this month.
“PLAYERS TO WATCH”: Dillon Heatherington and Colby Cave cracked the Central Scouting’s Preliminary Watch List. Heatherington was one of 8 WHL players on the B list, while Cave was listed amongst 26 other WHL players on the C list.

Adam Lowry was selected in the 3rd round (67th overall) by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Reece Scarlett was drafted in the 6th round (159th overall) by the New Jersey Devils in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
