Blades Host Raiders On Thrower Bobblehead Night

The Saskatoon Blades (19-16-0-1) finish off their home and home series tonight against the Prince Albert Raiders (23-11-0-3). 

The meeting is once again a matchup between the WHL’s East Division top two teams on Dalton Thrower Bobblehead Night.

The two teams kicked off their weekend set last night in Prince Albert.  In that game it was Anthony Bardardo posting 4 points, including scoring the game-winner with less than 5 minutes remaining, as Prince Albert won 5-4. 

Prince Albert took an early 2-0 lead off of goals from Carson Perreuax and Dakota Conroy, forcing the Blades to play catch-up all night. Saskatoon would eventually tie things up during a solid second period that saw them score three times, but the Raiders got the last laugh as Bardaro scored late from the slot following a Blades turnover to end the game 5-4.  Saskatoon’s goals came from Brenden Walker (2), Shane McColgan (SH) and Alex Elliott.  The Raiders also notched tallies from Sawyer Lange and Logan McVeigh for the win. 

The Blades will be looking for a boost from a big crowd during one of their biggest promotional nights of the season as it’s the 1st of 3 Blades bobblehead nights.  Tonight it’s Dalton Thrower’s Bobblehead that is up for grabs.  Fans in attendance will have a chance at taking one home at the game tonight, with a limited number available.  Make sure you’re in attendance for your shot at one.  For tickets to the game, you can click here.
