Blades Fall to Raiders 5-3
The Blades were short staffed for the game as 5 regular skaters were out of the lineup due to international competitions (Kytnar, Niemi, Inglis, Nicholls) and injury (Toomey), which only allowed Lorne Molleken to dress 17 skaters and 2 goalies.

A key for the Blades this season on the road has been to score first and play a simple game. This was not the case in Prince Albert as the Raiders would score twice in the first period and once again in the second.

The Blades showed some life in the third period when Darian Dziurzynski scored his 5th goal of the season only 1:18 into the final frame. The Raiders replied with two goals of their own before Jamie Crooks scored his first career WHL goal and Burke Gallimore scored his team leading 16th of the year to make it 5-3. The Blades would apply late pressure but it was too little too late as they lost for only the 3rd time on the road this season.

Special teams was the difference in the game as the Raiders went 2 for 5 with the man advantage, while the Blades went 0 for 4. Braden Holtby turned aside 32 of 37 shots in the losing effort.
