Blades Fall to Broncos 4-1
A crowd of 5,026 fans went home disappointed as the Blades fell to the Broncos 4-1. It was the Blades first regulation loss since a 4-2 setback to the Oil Kings on October 1st.

Mike Reich opened the scoring at 11:06 of the first period. Swift Current defenseman Eric Doyle would capitalize on a bounce off the end glass to tie it at the 16:15 mark of the first period. After a scoreless second period, the Broncos came out strong in the third with goals from Rogers, Dalecky, and Vause.

First star of the game, goaltender Mark Guggenberger from the Broncos, turned aside 24 of 25 shots. Blades goaltender Braden Holtby made 21 saves on 25 shots. The Blades went 0 for 8 on the powerplay, while the Broncos were 1 for 5 with the man advantage.

The Saskatoon Blades get a chance to redeem themselves as they face the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Calgary Hitmen at 7PM tomorrow night. The Blades defeated the Hitmen 3-1 when the visited the Saddledome on October 12th.
