Blades De-Throne Kings
After Blades forward Colton Gillies scored the games first goal at the 15:21 mark of the 1st period, the game remained 1-0 until the 4:13 mark of the 3rd period when Derek Hulak (PP) scored his 4th goal of the season. Brett Breitkreuz (PP) pulled the Oil Kings within 1 at the 6:28 mark; however, Colton Gillies (PP) would score his second of the game at 6:31 reamining in the game to seal the victory for the Blades.

Braden Holtby had another strong performance in goal, stopping 26 of Edmonton's 27 shots. Alex Archibald allowed 3 Blades goals on 30 shots while taking the loss in goal for the Kings.

Saskatoon's power play finished the night 2 for 6 while the Blades penalty kill stopped 2 of Edmonton's 3 power play chances.
