Blades And Pats Renew Ties In Regina
The Saskatoon Blades look to move to 2-0-0-0 in 2014 as they travel to Regina to meet the Pats. The Blades are coming off of a 6-3 win on Wednesday afternoon over the Swift Current Broncos. The win for Saskatoon snapped a 13-game losing streak as Nikita Scherbak had two goals and an assist, with Dylan Busenius adding three points and Chase Clayton posting two assists. In goal, Troy Trombley made 37 saves as he picked up his 4th win of the season. Blades forward Nick Zajac returned to the lineup from a lower-body injury and put up a goal and assist while taking home 2nd star honours in the victory.

Getting Sanvido And Sloboshan From Swift
The Saskatoon Blades pulled the trigger on a deal during their game Wednesday, acquiring Connor Sanvido (1993), Wyatt Sloboshan (1997), a 2nd round pick (2014) and a conditional 3rd round pick (2015) from Swift Current. In exchange for the package, the Blades dealt Nathan Burns and a 7th round pick (2014) to the Broncos. Sanvido is form Maple Ridge, BC. He’s currently on pace for a career-year in 2013-14, having registered 12 goals, 26 points and 21 PIMs to go along with a +13 rating in 40 games. Sloboshan is a 5’10, 164 pound forward who is spending his season playing Midget-AAA with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Prep. In 30 games, he’s put up 19 goals and 54 points. He was a 3rd round pick in 2012 by Swift Current.
Craig Cracks 300
Saskatoon Blades captain Graeme Craig suited up in career-game #300 on Wednesday against his former team in the Broncos. The game also marked his 100th career regular season game as a member of the Saskatoon Blades. Craig is currently having a career-year as the captain of the Blades, putting up 3 goals and a career-best and defence-leading 21 points. He’s also the only member of the Blades to have suited up in all 41 games this season.
