Williams, Worthington capture hardware at 2024 Telus Cup
Membertou, NS – Saskatoon Blades prospects Colten Worthington and Cooper Williams captured hardware at the 2024 Telus Cup in Membertou, NS on Sunday for their respective club.
Worthington and the Brandon Wheat Kings U18 AAA squad came home with a silver medal, losing 4-1 to the Cantonniers De Magog in the final. Saskatoon’s 11th round pick in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft finished the tournament with two goals and four assists in seven games. On top of finishing second in the nation with Brandon, the 6-foot winger also dressed in three regular season games with the Blue and Gold this season.
Williams and the U18 AAA Calgary Buffaloes earned a bronze medal earlier in the day after a 4-3 shootout victory against the Markham Waxers. The Blades second round pick in the 2023 draft led his club in points during the tournament with one goal and eight assists through seven games.
