Tonight
The Saskatoon Blades (7-1) have a chance to sweep the Red Deer Rebels (4-4) in their Round 2 best-of-seven series tonight at the Peavey Mart Centrium. The Blades lead the series 3-0 after an 8-5 win in Game 3 last night on the road. The Blades have won seven straight games and have the potential to punch their ticket to their second Eastern Conference Final appearance in as many seasons. Saskatoon went through Red Deer in Round 2 last year to reach the Eastern Conference Final, defeating the Rebels in Game 7. The last time the Blades swept a team in the playoffs was Round 1 in 2019 when they beat the Moose Jaw Warriors in four straight.
Who to Watch
Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov scored his first career WHL playoff hat-trick last night in Game 3. The 19-year-old sniper scored three goals before the end of the second period, including the game-winner late in the middle frame. Sidorov leads the team in goals with seven and has nine points in eight playoff games. The 6-foot winger snapped a three-game goalless drought with the performance and can come become a threat at any point in the game.
