Who to Watch
Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov scored twice for the Blades in yesterday’s defeat. The Belarusian sniper scored the postseason’s opening goal with 20 seconds left in the first period and potted his second of the evening with 3:15 left in the contest to bring Saskatoon within one. Sidorov was one of the Blades most efficient scorers in last year’s run to the Eastern Conference final with nine goals and 19 points in 16 games. The 19-year-old winger became the first Blade since 1995-96 to score 50 goals in a single season.

Washington Capitals prospect Alexander Suzdalev found the back of the net in last night’s loss. The 6-foot-3 winger scored on a gorgeous individual effort in Prince Albert’s end for his fourth career WHL postseason goal. Suzdalev scored three goals and ten points in seven postseason games with the Regina Pats last spring and looks to be an even bigger factor for the Blades this time around.

Five different Blades recorded an assist in yesterday’s defeat. Captain Trevor Wong, alternate captains Charlie Wright and Tanner Molendyk, defenceman Ben Saunderson, and Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick Brandon Lisowsky earned their first points of the playoffs.
