Ask a Blade
In this edition of ‘Ask a Blade’, Curtis Hamilton was recognized for his contributions to the 2011 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. A big fan from Mississauga, Ontario has been following Curtis’ career with the Saskatoon Blades, Oilers draft and WJHC and hopes to see him play at the Memorial Cup this year! He asked the following questions:
Q: How did you recuperate quickly after having 3 major injuries in 1 year?
A: I was able to recuperate quickly following my injuries by sticking to a strict rehab schedule where I worked very hard to strengthen my shoulder.
Q: Some sites say your 6’3” and others say 6’2”. Which is more accurate?
A: There has yet to be a an accurate measure for my height, haha. I think the closest is 6′ 3/4″, which is what I actually am.
Q: On the Oilers website it says you wear number 52, will that number change? The reason why I ask is that I am eventually going to buy your jersey and want to have an accurate number. I hope to watch you in the NHL some day.
A: I’m not sure about the jersey number. That number was given to me, so whatever Edmonton deems me to wear, I will wear.
