The Tri-City Americans are in the midst of a make-or-break portion of their schedule — 11 games in a 17-day stretch that includes a pair of three-in-three weekends.
Is it any surprise, then, that team captain Kruise Reddick has raised the level of his game the past couple of weeks?
“I guess I just thrive on bigger games,” Reddick said Thursday, a rest day for the team after its four-in-five road trip that concluded Tuesday and before a four-in-five homestand that starts Friday against Chilliwack.
“This is the funnest time of year, when you’re getting into the thick of things. I live for that moment.”
It’s not necessarily that Reddick has put up monster stats during this stretch — eight goals and 12 assists since January 1 — but when he’s putting up those numbers.
