‘Comrie Saves Hunger’ Campaign raises $660
Kennewick, WA – For a third consecutive season, Tri-City Americans goaltender Eric Comrie teamed up with 2nd Harvest Tri-Cities for the ‘Comrie Saves Hunger’ campaign, with this season’s effort raising $660.
Designed as a fundraiser for 2nd Harvest Tri-Cities, Comrie donated 50 cents out of his own pocket for every save he made during a regular season home game this season, with the Americans matching Comrie’s donation dollar for dollar. With 660 saves this season, Comrie jointly raised $660 dollars for 2nd Harvest Tri-Cities. Every dollar raised translates into five meals that will go to families in need. During the three years of the campaign, Eric has made 3,532 saves, which translates to $3,532 going to 2nd Harvest Tri-Cities.
“Every day I get to come home to a nice warm meal and some people don’t have that privilege,” Comrie said. “We have so much to give that we should support those less fortunate than us.”
