Carlo Named to Roster for All-Americans Prospects Game
Kennewick, WA – Tri-City Americans defenseman Brandon Carlo has been named to the CCM/USA Hockey All-Americans Prospects Game, as announced by USA Hockey today.
USA Hockey announced 42 players to participate in the game set for Sept. 25 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y. The game brings together the top U.S. prospects who are eligible for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, with 23 players competing in the game being named to the 2014-15 NHL Central Scouting Futures list, which highlights players that have potential to be selected in the first three rounds.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for Brandon,” Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory said. “We are proud of him as he represents our team at this prestigious event.”
Carlo is one of three WHL players on the team along with Portland’s Paul Bittner and Vancouver’s Alec Baer.
Carlo completed his rookie season for the Americans in 2013-14. He played in 71 games for Tri-City, racking up three goals, 13 points and 66 penalty minutes.
