Ryker Rougeau signs with Tri-City
KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2007-born forward Ryker Rougeau to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Rougeau was added to the Americans’ 50-man protected list after going unselected in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Rougeau, from Grand Forks, B.C., is currently playing on Vancouver Island for Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U18 team. In six games Rougeau has recorded four points (3-1-4).
“Ryker had a very good training camp with our Club and has continued to impress early this season,” said Tory. “He has earned this opportunity from his hard work and dedication.”
The 6-foot-3, 192-pound Rougeau spent the 2022-23 season with Rink Hockey Academy’s U17 team in Kelowna, scoring 38 points (13-25-38) in 30 games.
The Americans would like to welcome Ryker and his family to the organization.
