November is a different story, however, as Tri-City plays 8 of their 12 total games inside the friendly confines of the Toyota Center. November’s schedule features a visit from the defending WHL Champion Edmonton Oil Kings on November 5. The Americans will also host the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Portland Winterhawks respectively during their traditional Black Friday (November 28) and Black Saturday (November 29) home games.
December remains a light travel month for the Americans, who play 6 of their 9 scheduled games in Kennewick. Tri-City wraps up the first half of the season on Sunday, December 14 vs. Portland before the team pauses for the Winter Break. After a quick stop in Spokane after returning from the break, the Americans close out 2014 with home games against Everett on Sunday, December 28 and the annual New Year’s Eve game with the Spokane Chiefs, the 26th edition of the year-end tradition.
January will be an extremely busy month for the Americans, who will play 15 games in 31 days, including 10 of those on the road. Tri-City will then play their remaining 21 games in February and March, with 11 of those at home and 10 on the road. Highlights include a visit from the Vancouver Giants to the Toyota Center on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14. Meanwhile, Tri-City’s new head coach Mike Williamson will face his former team, the Calgary Hitmen, at the Toyota Center on Saturday, February 21.
The Americans then close out the 2014-15 regular season with a triple-header weekend, hosting the Portland Winterhawks on Friday, March 20, followed by the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday, March 21. The Americans and Winterhawks will then conclude the regular season on Sunday, March 22 in Portland.
Of the 29 weekend home games, Tri-City will play 13 on Friday, 12 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. Tri-City’s schedule is also equally balanced this season, with 18 home games both before and after the nine-day Winter Break, slated to run from December 18 through December 26.
In division play, the Americans will go head-to-head with the Spokane Chiefs 12 times (six home and six away), including 8 match-ups after the Winter Break. Tri-City will also play the Portland Winterhawks and Everett Silvertips 10 times while facing off against the Seattle Thunderbirds 8 times. Tri-City will play their B.C.
