Watch Friday Night Hockey on Sportsnet – Chicoutimi at Halifax
Friday Night Hockey on Sportsnet resumes January 13 when the Chicoutimi Sagueneens visit the Halifax Mooseheads.
The game features Sagueneens’ 2012 NHL draft prospect Charles Hudon and the Mooseheads’ top 2013 NHL draft prospect Nathan MacKinnon live at 7:00 pm Eastern on Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet Pacific, and on TVA Sports in Quebec.
In addition, on January 20 several 2012 NHL prospects will be featured when the defending OHL champion Owen Sound Attack visit the number one ranked team in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top-10 the London Knights live at 7:00 pm Eastern on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West, and Sportsnet Pacific. Four players in that contest have been named to rosters for the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game including the Attack’s Jarrod Maidens and Gemel Smith, with Olli Maatta and Andreas Athanasiou of the Knights.
One week later on January 27, top 2013 NHL draft prospect Sean Monahan and the Ottawa 67’s host 2012 top NHL draft prospect Nail Yakupov of the Sarnia Sting. The game can be seen live at 7:00 pm on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West, and Sportsnet Pacific.
The Friday Night Hockey broadcasts will continue to be handled by play-by-play announcer RJ Broadhead, analyst Sam Cosentino, and host Rob Faulds. Each broadcast will feature a studio show previewing the game.
Additionally, CHL coverage will extend to Sportsnet Connected and HOCKEY CENTRAL with all the latest news and highlights.
Friday Night Hockey on Sportsnet will continue right through the 2012 Playoffs leading up to the MasterCard Memorial Cup. The remaining regular season schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
In October, Sportsnet and the CHL announced the creation of Friday Night Hockey, a regular weeknight destination for Canadian Hockey League games, plus integration across the multiple Sportsnet platforms – television, radio, digital and print.
