Teams embark on Road To The World Juniors Pre-Tournament Schedule

CALGARY, Alta. – With the days on the calendar dwindling and the 2015 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships right around the corner, participating teams begin to embark on their pre-tournament schedules.
Eight cities across Ontario and Quebec will play host to international teams, featuring 10 games from Dec. 19-23, before the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship begins Dec. 26 in Toronto, Ont., and Montreal, Que.

“Toronto and Montreal will be the centre of the junior hockey world this December, but we’re thrilled to be able to take the excitement of the World Juniors to other communities before the first puck drops on Boxing Day,” said Pat McEleney, executive director of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for hockey fans across Ontario and Quebec to experience the excitement of the IIHF World Junior Championship,” said Tom Renney, president and CEO of Hockey Canada. “We can’t wait to welcome the future stars of the game, and showcase the passion of Canadian hockey fans.”
Ticket packages for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship are still available in both cities.
In Toronto, 19-game packages include one Team Canada pre-competition game, 10 preliminary round games, two quarter-finals, two relegation round games, two semifinals, the bronze medal game and gold medal game.
In Montreal, 13-game ticket packages are still available, including one Team Canada pre-competition game, four Team Canada preliminary round games, six other round robin games, and two quarter-finals.
In addition, three new mini ticket packages are now on sale in Montreal, featuring four or five games, including at least one Team Canada game. Mini packages begin at $170, plus applicable fees.
