SUBWAY® CANADA and the CHL offer unique training experience
TORONTO, October 1, 2013 /CNW/ – As the official training restaurant of the CHL, SUBWAY® Canada is launching the SUBWAY® Official Training Day contest today. The contest offers amateur hockey teams in Canada the chance to win a training day with an official CHL team.
“At SUBWAY® we are always looking for exciting ways to fuel Canadians’ healthy lifestyles”, said Kathleen Bell, director of national marketing, SUBWAY® Restaurants of Canada. “One of the ways we decided to follow this mission was to leverage our partnership with CHL, being their Official Training Restaurant, by giving amateur hockey league teams the chance to have an official CHL experience”.
“The Canadian Hockey League is proud of our partnership with SUBWAY® and we are excited to offer young hockey players the chance to experience a training day with a CHL team,” said CHL President David Branch. “The CHL and SUBWAY® share the values of community involvement and the importance of healthy lifestyles and we look forward to launching this exciting new contest.”
SUBWAY® restaurants are giving amateur hockey players a first-hand experience on what a day as a CHL player is like by bringing them to the action. Three winning teams representing each regional League (WHL, OHL, QMJHL) will receive on-ice instruction with the CHL players and the coaching staff along with off-ice training tips, while enjoying a healthy SUBWAY® lunch.
To enter, visit the SUBWAY® Canada website (http://www.subway.ca) and share how your team incorporates SUBWAY® restaurants into your hockey training programs.
This contest is being executed by Veritas Public Relations, and is being supported through SUBWAY® and its partner networks as well as the CHL teams and their official arenas. It will also be promoted through SUBWAY® Canada and CHL digital and social media platforms.
The contest will run until from October 1, 2013 to November 30, 2013.
