Old Dutch Foods contest winners could Net a Million at the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup
TORONTO, Ontario (March 14, 2011) – Old Dutch® Potato Chips, Rogers Sportsnet and the Canadian Hockey League are bringing back the opportunity to hit the jackpot! Potato chip lovers across Canada just need to look for specially marked packages of Old Dutch® Potato Chips and simply enter the product UPC at olddutchfoods.ca. Participants enter for a chance to win one of three trips for two to Mississauga, Ontario, for the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup – and the opportunity to net $1 million!
The three consumers winning trips to Mississauga will take part in an on-ice shootout, featured live on Rogers Sportsnet during the second intermission of the final game of the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Online contest winners’ shooting positions will be randomly chosen just before going onto the ice to compete.
The first contestant will play for $100,000, shooting from the closest blue line, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 20 seconds. The second contestant will play for $250,000, shooting from centre ice, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 22 seconds. The third contestant will play for $1,000,000, shooting from the furthest blue line, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 24 seconds.
And to make sure all contestants are winners, Old Dutch will pay $500 for each goal scored short of the 16 required for the big money, in addition to receiving a $5,000 gift card for The Brick! Look for specially marked packages of Old Dutch® Potato Chips, enter online and start working on your shot – you could be shooting for $1,000,000 at the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup.
