Jake Goldowski commits to Spirit
SAGINAW, Mich. – The Saginaw Spirit announced Friday the signing of 2016 fourth round pick Jake Goldowski (Gol-DOW-skee) to a Standard Player Agreement and Education Package.
The Thornhurst, Pennsylvania native was with the United States Under-18 National team during the 2017-18 season along with fellow Saginaw Spirit 2016 draft pick Bode Wilde.
Previous to his commitment to the USNTDP, Goldowski had 101 points in 76 career games at the Under-16 level with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
Goldowski, 17, was a participant in the 2016 OHL Cup, a minor midget tournament hosted by the Ontario Hockey League.
The 6’2, 192-pound center is eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft to be held at the home of the Dallas Stars, American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
