Colts retire Bryan Little’s #18
The Barrie Colts honoured all-time leading scorer Bryan Little prior to puck drop against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday.
Little’s #18 banner was raised to the rafters in Barrie, marking the first time the Colts have retired a jersey number in the franchise’s 25-year history.
Colts owner Howie Campbell opened the proceedings before Little took the to microphone to share his thanks and appreciation to the Colts organization along with the devoted fan base in Barrie.
A product of Cambridge, Ont., Little racked up 342 points including 153 goals and 189 assists over 247 regular season games in a Colts uniform from 2003-2007 before embarking on a lengthy NHL career that has been spent entirely with the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets organization.
