Reid Valade First Career Goal
REID VALADE (KITCHENER RANGERS):
Kitchener Rangers rookie Reid Valade scored the first goal of his OHL career, helping the Blueshirts skate to their fourth straight win. The Rangers edged the visiting Owen Sound Attack 4-3, with Valade scoring Kitchener’s third goal that came with assists from Alexey Lipanov and Joseph Garreffa 3:10 into the third period. The trio clicked for a pair of goals to help the Rangers come back from a 2-1 deficit and defeat Owen Sound, improving to 17-17-3-0 on the season. Valade’s first goal comes in his 31st game of the season, giving him six points (1-5–6) after being Kitchener’s first round (17th overall) pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. The Toronto Marlboros Minor Midget graduate from Caledon, Ont. represented Team Canada Black at the 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, recording a pair of assists over five games.
