The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that defenceman Declan McNally has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the club.

McNally, a native of LaSalle, Ontario, was originally selected seventh overall by the Guelph Storm in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection before joining the Colts through a preseason trade on August 26.

The 6’6″ left-shot defenceman enjoyed a strong 2025-26 season with the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA program, recording seven goals and 26 assists for 33 points in 59 regular-season games. McNally added four points in five games at the 2026 OHL Cup.

McNally was also one of 31 OHL prospects invited to Canada’s national under-17 development camp this summer.

The 2010 born defenceman joins a young Colts blue line that includes fellow 2026 first-round selection Lucas Matheson, selected 17th overall by Barrie.

McNally has already suited up for the Colts during the preseason, officially beginning the next chapter of his OHL career in Barrie.
