Joseph Raaymakers made 30 saves for his first shutout of the season as the London Knights handed the Kitchener Rangers their second straight home shutout loss of the weekend. Evan Bouchard (1) and Alex Formenton (1) both found the back of the net in their season debuts after being returned from the NHL. Sergey Popov (1) also got in on the goal-scoring as the Knights won their fourth straight. Kitchener’s Lucas Pfeil was solid in defeat, making 32 saves as the Rangers lost their third straight, falling to 7-8-2-0. The Knights lead the Midwest Division with a record of 10-4-2-0.

ERIE 3, SAULT STE. MARIE 2 – SO
Kyle Maksimovich, Maxim Golod and Gera Poddubnyi all converted as the Erie Otters took their second shootout win of a northern Ontario weekend road trip, defeating the Soo Greyhounds 3-2. The Otters return home with four of a possible six points, winning their sixth overtime or shootout contest in the last eight games. Emmett Sproule (4) and Maksimovich (10) had goals in regulation while Daniel Murphy made 30 saves. Mac Hollowell (6) and Keeghan Howdeshell (13) tallied for the Greyhounds while Barrett Hayton and Morgan Frost scored shootout markers. The Otters improve to 8-8-1-0 while Sault Ste. Marie has at least a point in 12 straight games, sitting at 12-3-3-1.

SUDBURY 4 – NORTH BAY 3
The Sudbury Wolves jumped out to a 2-0 lead, saw it evaporate and then reclaimed it late to defeat the visiting North Bay Battalion 4-3. Down 3-2 early in the third, Owen Gilhula (1) and Drake Pilon (2) scored to put the Wolves ahead for good, with Pilon netting the game winner with 44 seconds to spare. Shane Bulitka (3) and Zack Malik (1) also scored while Nolan Hutcheson picked up two assists. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen got the win in goal with 34 saves. North Bay goals came from Harrison Caines (1), Justin Brazeau (19) and Brad Chenier (7) while Nick King had three assists and David Maier pitched in with two. Christian Propp took the loss with 32 saves to his credit. The Wolves climb to 10-6-1-0, just one point out of first in the Central while North Bay is 8-8-0-1.

HAMILTON 5, OWEN SOUND 2
2019 NHL Draft prospect Arthur Kaliyev (15, 16) scored twice and had an assist to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs past visiting Owen Sound 5-2. Nicolas Mattinen (6), Brandon Saigeon (11) and Ben Garagan (3) also lit the lamp as the Bulldogs ended a five-game slide. Hamilton’s second win over Owen Sound this season featured two assists from both MacKenzie Entwistle and Kade Landry while goaltender Zachary Roy turned aside 34 of 36. Montreal Canadiens prospect Nick Suzuki (12, 13) provided both Attack goals while Kevin Hancock had two assists. Hamilton is 8-8-1-0 while Owen Sound falls to 9-7-0-2.

The Mississauga Steelheads proved too much for the visiting Kingston Frontenacs in a 5-2 win. All five goal-scorers in Cole Schwindt (4), Alan Lyszczarczyk (5), Cole Carter (16), Keean Washkurak (5) and Ryan McLeod (3) had a goal and an assist while Jacob Ingham turned aside 19 shots. The Steelheads outshot the Frontenacs 42-21. Dawson Baker (3) and Jason Robertson (16) scored for the Fronts while Brendan Bonello made 37 saves. Mississauga sits tied for the Central Division lead with a record of 10-5-2-0. The Frontenacs fall to 5-13-1-0.

Boston Bruins prospect Kyle Keyser stopped all 34 shots that came his way as the Oshawa Generals were 4-0 winners over visiting Barrie. Daniil Antropov (5), Giovanni Vallati (2), Nando Eggenberger (7) and Eric Henderson (8) scored Oshawa goals Serron Noel picked up two assists as the Gennies went 2-for-9 on the power play. Barrie’s Maksim Zhukov made 33 saves in defeat. Oshawa improves to 9-6-2-0 while Barrie is 9-7-1-0.

The Ottawa 67’s kept right on rolling, scoring eight times on 31 shots in an 8-2 road win over the Saginaw Spirit. Michigan native Sasha Chmelevski (6) earned first star honours with a goal and an assist as the 67’s spread the scoring around. New Jersey Devils prospect Mitchell Hoelscher (2, 3) scored twice while Austen Keating (7), Sam Bitten (1), Marco Rossi (10), Tye Felhaber (19) and Graeme Clarke (9) added singles. Cedric Andree turned away 34 of 36 shots to pick up his 12th straight win while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made his OHL debut, making one save in a brief relief appearance. Ottawa improves to a league-best 15-3-1-0, taking a clean sweep of their West Division road trip. Saginaw falls to 8-6-1-1.
