Spitfires’ Brown returns from NHL
The Ottawa Senators announced Wednesday that they’ve returned centreman Logan Brown to the Windsor Spitfires for the 2017-18 season.
A 19-year-old who helped guide the Spitfires to a Mastercard Memorial Cup title last spring, Brown made his NHL debut on October 5th and played in a total of four NHL games, recording his first career NHL point with an assist on October 21st against Toronto.
The Chesterfield, MO native was Ottawa’s first round (11th overall) pick in the 2016 NHL Draft and returns to Windsor where he collected 14 goals, 26 assists and 40 points over 35 regular season games last season.
Brown is expected to make his season debut with the Spitfires on Thursday when they begin a three-game weekend road trip in North Bay.
