The finalized order of selection for tonight’s first round was determined by a Draft Lottery process on Mar. 29th that included the League’s four non-playoff teams, with the Erie Otters drawing the first overall pick. The Otters announced on Thursday that they’ll be selecting 15-year-old Halton Hurricanes defenceman Matthew Schaefer with tonight’s first selection.
For the second straight year, the Flint Firebirds lead all clubs with five picks in the opening three rounds, followed by the Barrie Colts, Brantford Bulldogs, Guelph Storm, Kitchener Rangers, London Knights, Niagara IceDogs and Ottawa 67’s, who will each make four.
