Officiating Team for Rogers OHL Championship Series
Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the Officiating Team for the 2016 Rogers OHL Championship Series for the Robertson Cup between the London Knights and the Niagara IceDogs beginning Thursday night in London.
Conrad Haché, OHL Director of Officiating, has assigned 10 officials for the Championship Series including five Referees and five Linesmen.
Referees named to work the series are Mike Cairns of Toronto, Jason Faist of Cambridge, Scott Ferguson of Etobicoke, Scott Oakman of Mount Albert, and Sean Reid of Ottawa.
Linesmen selected to work the series are Jordan Browne (Toronto), Ryan Card (Severn Bridge), Andrew Jackson (Caledon), Dustin McCrank (Guelph), and Jean-Francois Menard (Guelph).
Reid is working his ninth Championship Series, Cairns and Ferguson are in their fifth, and Oakman is officiating his fourth. Faist has been assigned to his first Rogers OHL Championship Series. Among the linesmen, Browne is working his fifth Championship Series, McCrank his fourth, while Card, Jackson and Menard are working their first.

The 2016 Rogers OHL Championship Series marks a rematch of the 2012 Final between London and Niagara where the Knights captured the title in a 4-1 series win.
The Robertson Cup is emblematic of the Ontario Hockey League’s championship series. The Cup was presented by J. Ross Robertson, who was president of the Ontario Hockey Association from 1901 to 1905. Since its inception, the Robertson Cup has been won by 23 different teams with the Oshawa Generals leading the way with 13 championships including a record seven straight from 1938-44.
The Knights have celebrated three Robertson Cup titles in franchise history including 2005, 2012, and 2013, while the IceDogs are in search of their first OHL Championship.
