Milestone Moments: December 20, 2019
JACK BECK (OTTAWA 67’s):
Jack Beck‘s first two career OHL goals came at the perfect time as the 16-year-old tied the score at four with 7:35 left in the third period before netting the overtime winner to lift the Ottawa 67’s past the Oshawa Generals 5-4 on the road. The Richmond Hill, Ont. native was playing in his 25th game of the season and now has six points (2-4–6) on the campaign. Beck was Ottawa’s second round (31st overall) pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Marlboros Minor Midgets.
OLE BJORGVIK-HOLM (MISSISSAUGA STEELHEADS):
First-year defenceman Ole Bjorgvik-Holm scored one of the Mississauga Steelheads’ eight goals on Friday in a lopsided win over visiting Barrie. The Norwegian defenceman found the back of the net 7:38 into the third period with help from Ty Collins and Nicholas Canade. He now has 12 points (1-11–12) over 34 games after being the 31st overall pick of the 2019 CHL Import Draft. Bjorgvik-Holm spent last season with the Colorado Thunderbirds U16 program.
VLADISLAV DVURECHENSKII (BARRIE COLTS):
Barrie Colts rookie Vladislav Dvurechenskii‘s first career OHL goal was one of the few bright spots in Friday’s 8-2 loss at the hands of the Mississauga Steelheads. The 6-foot-4, 207Ib. winger scored in the latter half of the third period in a game that was already out of reach, finding the back of the net in his fifth game of the season. The 16-year-old was Barrie’s fifth round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection from the North York Rangers Minor Midgets. Dvurechenskii has six points (4-2–6) over 23 games with the Collingwood Colts of the OJHL this season.
