Grayson Ladd Commits to Rangers
Kitchener, ON – The Kitchener Rangers announced today that defenceman Grayson Ladd has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Club.
The first-round, 13th overall choice in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection was a product of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones during the 2016-17 season where he registered nine points in an injury-shortened, 26-game regular season campaign.
The 6’2, 160lb defenceman became acquainted with the Rangers in their annual Spring Camp last month at Activa Sportsplex, dressing as a member of Team Skinner.
He was also a member of Team ALLIANCE at the 2017 OHL Gold Cup in Kitchener earlier this month, notching three points in five tournament games.
“Grayson was a young man that we coveted pretty highly in the Priority Selection, and to have him officially commit to the team today, we’re very excited,” said Rangers’ general manager Mike McKenzie.
“We were impressed with Grayson’s showing, both at our Spring Camp and at the OHL Gold Cup, and are looking forward to what’s to come as we welcome he and his family into our Rangers’ family.”
