Frontenacs acquire Gavin Christie from the Bulldogs
The Kingston Frontenacs have acquired defenceman Gavin Christie from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2029 second-round pick in the OHL Priority Selection.
Christie, a Beamsville, Ont. native, appeared in nine games with the Bulldogs during the 2025-26 season, recording 3 shots and eight penalty minutes in his first OHL stint.
Originally selected by Brantford in the third round (58th overall) of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Christie spent the majority of the year with the Brantford Titans of the GOJHL where he notched 27 points (7-20–27) and 107 penalty minutes from the blueline. He was selected to participate in the 2026 GOHL Top Prospects Game at OHL’s Connor McDavid Top Prospects event in January.
For Brantford, the deal brings back future draft capital as the club continues to manage its assets ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection and beyond. For Kingston, the move adds another forward to their roster as the team continues to reshape its lineup during the offseason trade window.
The OHL trade window opened on June 2 and remains open until June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore, which takes place June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
