Attack sign forward Alex Taylor
OWEN SOUND, ON – The Owen Sound Attack are pleased to announce that forward Alex Taylor has signed a Standard Player Education and Development Agreement with the hockey club.
Taylor, the Attack’s 208th overall pick from the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, joins the Attack after playing last season for the Frederick Gunn School (USHS-Prep), where he had six goals and 14 assists in 31 games. In his U16 AAA year with the Halton Hurricanes he registered 46 goals and 52 assists in 68 games. The 17-year-old forward has established himself as a skilled, hard-working two-way forward, who brings tenacity to the forecheck and despite his size is not afraid to engage in a physical style of play.
“Alex has continued to show us that he has the skill, compete level and character to be a great player at this level. He has earned this opportunity through his work ethic and commitment to improving every day,” said Attack President and General Manager, Tyler Nother. “We’re excited to officially welcome Alex and his family to the Attack organization and look forward to working with him as he continues to develop both on and off the ice.”
Taylor says he is excited to officially begin the next chapter of his development in Owen Sound.
“I’m really excited to sign with Owen Sound and thankful to the Attack for giving me this opportunity” said Taylor. “I’m a smart hardworking player who competes hard, plays with an edge and gives 100% every shift. I want to be someone who’s tough to play against and does whatever I can to help the team. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game, being part of the Owen Sound community and taking the next step with the Attack.”
